LAS MANUELAS ART SERIES I TRANSFER FILMS

Las Manuelas Art Series is born from the collaboration between antagonistic worlds that have complemented each other: the rural and the urban, that of the artisan and that of the artist, gender and cultural diversity, where interpretation plays a fundamental role, from the mural from the artist to the digital pattern, from the pattern to the fabric, from the animal to the fiber, from the fiber to the hand, the hand to the knitted piece, and from there to the digital image…, and now we add celluloid to express the dialogue between analog and digital in the communication of this complex process.

How to visualize such diverse aspects? This is how we started, we wanted to maintain and mix diverse languages, through experimentation and the development of alternative and hybrid audiovisual proposals that merge art, crafts, textiles and technology.

Transfer Films es el resultado de un proceso único de investigación y comunicación visual, realizado en el centro de investigación de IED REC Madrid, en colaboración con la artista visual Deneb Martos.
